Anxiety? You are not alone! Ten top tips with coping with anxiety🙋🏽
Hi Guys
Hope you are all okay?
Today I have a different type of post for you today after popular demand. This post is all about anxiety.
Many of you may or may not suffer from anxiety or depression and it is a very hard thing to go through on your own.. trust me I found of the hard away and I want to let anyone know who think they are alone.. You are not! 💜
It has taken more over two years to really accept that I need some help and to really accept that I was not dealing with the condition very well. Anyone who suffers from anxiety will more than likely know the feeling of not wanted to talk to anyone or bother anyone with how you are feeling, I spent months telling myself that I was 'OK' and that there was nothing wrong purely because I did not want to bother anyone with my problems.
Today for you I have 10 of my tips to help with copy with anxiety which I use to help me!
1. Repeat anything which you are worried about ➡️ If you are scared of something, repeat the action over and over again and you will feel so much better for it! At first it might be hard but it gets better the more times you repeat it!
2. Take some time out ➡️Its impossible to think straight when you are stressed or feeling flooded with anxiety. Best thing I learnt to do was to go and sit away from everyone, light a candle turn my phone off, and listen to relaxing music.. trust me it really works!
3. Just breathe ➡️Sounds simple but it works! If I get really worried about something or I'm overthinking I just sit there and take deep breathe and it really helps take your mind of it and helps you to stop panicking.
4. Imagine the worst ➡️ Try imagining the worst thing that can happen – perhaps it's panicking and having a heart attack. Then try to think yourself into having a heart attack. It's just not possible. The fear will run away the more you chase it.
5. Think realistically ➡️ Think is the thing you're worrying about actually going to happen? Have you ever heard anyone else having the same problem? is it likely to happen? Most of the time things you're worrying about are really unlikely to happen!
6. Don't try and be perfect ➡️ My main problem which started my anxiety off along with a few other things was that fact that I had a few friends which I would always compare myself too, and its turns out them 'friends' are not even my friends anymore and we done talk 👌🏼I was so fixated on trying to be perfect all the time and be like my friends that I got so down and I was not a very nice place to be. NO ONE is perfect so don't try to be!

7. Visualise a happy place ➡️ Take a moment to close your eyes and imagine a place of safety and calm. It could be a picture of you walking on a beautiful beach, or snuggled up in bed with the cat next to you (I do this a lot.. I'm a cat lover ), or a happy memory from childhood. Let the positive feelings soothe you until you feel more relaxed.
8. Talk about it ➡️ It took me months to accept that I needed to talk about it, and when I did talk about it makes a big difference! You soon realise that a lot of people have anxiety and you're not alone! Talking makes a difference and it gets it off your chest!
9. Going back to basics ➡️Lots of people turn to alcohol or drugs to self-treat anxiety, but this will only make matters worse (Trust me I learnt the hard way) I used to go out drinking to forget the things I was scared about and it just made things 100 times worst! Simple, everyday things like a good night's sleep, a wholesome meal and a walk are often the best cures for anxiety.
10. Reward yourself ➡️Finally, give yourself a treat. When you've made that call you've been dreading, for example, reinforce your success by treating yourself to a massage, a country walk, a meal out, a book, a DVD, or whatever little gift makes you happy. I do this a lot, If I've had to do something I was scared about I will normal reward myself and It makes you feel so much better!!!!
I hope this is helpful to any of you which may suffer than anxiety, If there is anyone out there who needs someone to talk to then please give me shout Im willing to talk and try and help!
