£5 Dupe for the Laura Mercier loose translucent powder😱

Hi guys!

Hope you are all well?

Today I have an exciting post for you! Everyone knows how amazing the Laura Mercier loose powder is.. but everyone also knows how expensive it is😱 Well... I have found a dupe! 😳 Which costs under £5!🙌🏼

I have been trying out a few loose powders to see if I can find one that compares to the Laura Mercier one, but I have never really found anything which I could honestly say was a dupe until now!  👌🏼I went into Superdrug a few weeks ago and saw that Rimmel London had a loose powder which is part for their Match Perfection range. I thought I would grab it and give it a go, and I'm really glad it did! I had mini size of the Laura Mercier powder to try out to see if it liked it before I splashed out and brought the full size, and Im really glad I waited and didn't buy the full size!

I have combination skin and get very oily on my T zone but have dry patches on the rest of my face, I have struggled in the past with loose powders because they get cakey around my dry patches, or they just don't last very well on my T zone 👎🏻 The Laura Mercier powder did go slightly cakey on my dry patches but my foundation did not budge in places in normally get very oily. I have been using the Rimmel London powder since I purchased it and I prefer it! It didn't cling to my dry patches and it set my face all day and didnt budge! I work outside with horses and one day I went to work wearing this powder and when I got home it had not moved! I never normally wear makeup to work but to  really test the staying power I thought I would and I was really happy with the results!! 😄

I hope everyone found this helpful and let me know in the comments if any of you are going to try this powder out.. I highly recommend it!

  1. oh this sounds great, I also find that the Maybelline one is brilliant also, know one needs to pay an expensive price just for a loose powder, so i'll be giving this one a go also x

  2. I've never tried the Laura Mercier powder, but I've always been curious - it's just so expensive! Have you ever tried Coty Airspun? I like it and heard they're pretty comparable, but again, never tried LM so I have no idea if they actually are!
